WPBakery now compatible with AMP

Announced today by Ahmed Kalud’s popular AMP plugin – compatibility for creating AMP friendly pages, using this popular site building tool. The full release is as follows:

We are creating native support popular page builders and their modules. These features will be added in a compatibility extension called “Page builder for AMP” which will give you compatibility for popular page builders. It is and always will be available for free to download.

There are number of Page builders available in the market, each created by a different WordPress company. Every builder has at least hundred different modules which are either made by the core team of that page builder or a third party developer. There are no specific standards of managing styling, handling dynamic content, javascripts and backend of the page builders so people think it’s nearly impossible to implement AMP support for the Page builders, so that’s why we have created this compatibility addon.

In this first release, we have made WPBakery (Visual Composer)’s 17 modules compatible with AMP, more of these modules will be added in the next updates of this extension. Additionally, we will be doing the same thing for other popular page builders such as Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi by Elegant Themes, Thrive Architect, Site Origin and Gutenberg.

We’re talking about hundreds of modules and compatibilities that needs to be added, which are not possible to include in one go, that’s why we introduced Idea Board, where people can suggest ideas for the new features, and the most up-voted features & modules will be added first.

Checkout the Page builder compatibility project, the development is happening on Github in a public repository, so feel free to come in and contribute your code.

We think that this will help us improve the experience we provide on AMP.

As always, you keep requesting features and we will keep implementing them.
